– sun ha-ru, known as haru, 23, lanky with hair he now regularly dyes orange.
– he's diligent, conscientious when it comes to his interests and his work, but can be a little absentminded professor-y, losing track of time, forgetting to do things like eat and clean his place.
– haru is constantly on a quest for more knowledge, his interests primarily in biology though he has fingers in too many pies.

– he has rapid cellular regeneration, which allows him to heal from any injuries – small injuries take minutes while larger ones might take a few hours. his blood, when injected, has healing properties to take care of minor ailments and injuries. haru cannot get sick and is, in theory, now immortal and ages very slowly.
– though tenderhearted, he does not have the best social skills which often manifests in brutal honesty and skittishness in foreign situations ( which are most of them ).
– the only child of the drs. sun, two geneticists, he had grown up with his eye on a microscope. they had instilled in him a love of the sciences, particularly biology.
– he had not immediately realized that of their many subjects, he had been placed under a microscope himself. obsessed with healing the world's ailments and achieving human perfection, the doctors had decided to modify their son's dna as a child.
– it had been a painful process, and he had been lead to believe that it was for his parents and it was so everyone wouldn't have to be sick anymore.
– the drs. sun made many enemies, particularly scientists, government officials, and secret agents, who felt what they were doing to their son – amongst many others – was inhumane.
– caught between organizations who wanted to capture him amongst the other test subjects ( for further 'investigation' ) and his parents who had not treated him like their own flesh and blood, haru has opted to run away and is currently in hiding. he is under the protection of the one secret agency he has decided to tentatively trust. it isn't all bad, as he intends to take some of the research to develop more humane healing methods, teaming up with the agency's scientists. it's better than acknowledging your trauma, right?
– tl;dr nerdy son of evil (?) scientists is now under the protection of a powerful agency that says they will help him.



NAWALA-VERSE.

– haru had done his own research and discovered an island where all kind of powered beings could exist peacefully. immediately, he fled, leaving behind his home.
– though a recent arrival, he hopes to catalog all the flora and fauna that have grown up around the island.
– it helps ground him as he attempts to recover from childhood trauma.
